yeah! got visitors today!!

Auntie Angie, Auntie Kris, Uncle Borui and Terence Kor Kor came to see us during lunch today. they da bao chicken rice for Mummy. but they left me on the swing by myself when they were having lunch and chatting. so I purposely disturb Mummy by being cranky. then they are also more interested in watching TV then playing with me (to be fair, Auntie Kris played with me a while and Auntie Angie carried me). :( but I'm still very happy that they came to see me. hope they can pop by often:D

Grandma Sheila gave me a box of toys!! Thank U Grandma Sheila :D

today Mummy was very happy too. cuz she witnessed 2 of my "first time". she saw me staring and play with me feet the first time. she also witnessed me laughing out loud. she was so happy that she laughed with me!! silly Mummy. I still have a lot of first times for her. but I'm not going to tell her when I'm showing them. I want to surprise her. :P

vomitting again

Ariel is doing her merlion act again. cuz Mummy stopped giving her the wind drop. she was vomitting all over, on her clothes, her mummy and on the floor. so Mummy got to find the vomit on the floor and clean them. (the floor tiles are white, and her vomit is white too. so need to find.)

seeing Ariel growing everyday, gave me a sense of satisfaction. means she's getting enough and I'm producing enough milk. when I got her to sit on my lap, she will wait impatiently for me to take out my breast. in fact she'll make those panting sound. the moment she saw my breast, her eyes become even bigger and I can see the excitement in her eyes. aww, makes my heart melt.

Auntie Daphne brought little Isaac to visit us last Friday. Ariel was so excited that she pooed the moment they stepped in. she also chatted with Auntie Daphne. she must be thinking finally there are other faces to see other than boring Mummy's one. little Isaac is CUTE!! he got his mummy's ears and nose. after they left, then I remembered that I wanted to take a picture of little Ariel and little Issac. forgetful me. Auntie Daphne also got little Ariel a top from Guess. Thank U!!

Auntie Huiling and Terence Kor Kor are coming over during lunch tomorrow too. Yeah!! Mummy and Ariel looking forward to them coming over. :D

new camera

we got a NEW camera!! it's the SONY DSC-T100!! we got it so that we can take nice nice pictures of little Ariel. well, actually we already got a camera. however the old one cannot take CLEAR pictures without the flash mode. (note: we are not supposed to take pictures of babies with the flash on as it will hurt their delicate little eyes). so we got this SONY one cuz it has this anti-shake function. they say this is one of the best camera. (don't ask me who are "they".)

for the past whole week, I've been teaching little Ariel to fall asleep by herself in the cot. before that, she'll only fall asleep if daddy or mummy carry her and walk around the house. for the sake of our future (cannot imagine how life will be like if she's 10kg) and our back, I decided to take action. actually I wanted to do that long time ago, but was too lazy. cuz it takes a lot time and patience to do it. also, I had been thinking which method to use. one is the "cruel" way, i.e, to leave her to cry in her cot when she's tired. eventually she'll fall asleep. as days passed, she'll know how to fall asleep cuz she'll realise her cries will not have her parent's attention. of cuz we will have to bear with the crying. however I find that this is not a good way, cuz I read somewhere if we leave babies to cry for too long, their brain will be hurt in some way and they will think that their parents don't love them.

another one is a more humane way which i opted for. once she shows signs of tiredness, i'll put her down in her cot. of cuz she'll protest, then I'll pat her. if her protest turns into cries, then I'll pick her up and rock her. once she had calmed down, i'll put her down again and pat her. the whole procedure repeats until she fall asleep (that's why I say need patience). eventually she'll supposed to fall asleep by herself in the cot when she's tired. she has not reach the stage of falling asleep by herself, yet but she is progressing well except in the morning. (I guess her memory is too short to remember what she had been taught the day before.) at least I do not have to coax her to sleep by carrying her all the time.

little Ariel likes to suck her fist now. she still don't know that her thumb is smaller and easier to put inside her mouth. she'll suck until her whole fist is wet with her saliva or her mitten is WET. sometimes she'll make the "zut zut" sound.

oh btw, little Ariel just got a scolding from me. she was crying when I tried to change her diaper. after wiping her butt and was preparing to put on the new diaper for her, she pee and wet the changing mat and the new diaper. waste my 50 cents again!! so I scolded her. and you know WHAT? she showed me her toothless smile after I scolded her.

I Love Ariel

Ariel has been cranky when I tried to bathe her since last week. she'll be screaming her lungs out the moment I put her into the water. babies supposed to like water, aren't they? they spend their time swimming in their mummies' womb for 9 months, no? water too hot, water too cold? this stupid mummy really don't know what's wrong with the bathing session. can only hope that the next day's bathing will be better.

little Ariel cannot fall asleep by herself. have to carry her, rock her, then she can fall asleep. but she often startle in her sleep and ended up crying non-stop. being a bad mummy, I'll ended up screaming and scolding her when she would not stop crying after coaxing her. but when she had settled down, and when she smiled at me, all frustrations will dissolve. she's been "talking" to me often. most of the time is after the morning feed. she'll look at me intensely. when I smiled at her, she SMILED back. it's the BEST moment that can happen to me. (even better than striking toto. though I don't mind striking toto.) then she'll start making those cooing sounds. I LOVE HER SO MUCH!!!

by the way, after worrying whether she's gaining enough weight, I started to worry when she's sleeping. especially when she's sleeping very quietly. I'll tip-toe to the side of her cot and ensure that she's breathing. duhz...

shopping

little Ariel slept for the longest stretch last night. her last feed was at 22:10 last night. after that, she woke up at 05:07 this morning for her milk!! she must be very very tired yesterday. did not sleep much. guess too much simulants for her. brought her to her paternal grandparents' place. her grandfater missed her so much. the moment he saw her, he was very excited. so is grandma. little Ariel was laughing and smiling so much!!

after that, we went to suntec's carefour. we wanted to get her wipes and my breast pads. then her silly mummy forgotten to check the time. we were looking at the stuff when she suddenly got cranky. so we carried her from her pram but she still would not stop fussing. she started to cry and the people around us start looking at us. thinking what did these parents do to the innocent, cute baby. then I checked the time. oh gosh!! time for her feed!! I quickly carried her to look for the lactation room while her daddy continued to shop for the stuff. the distance seemed to be very long and I don't remember it to be that far. on the way, people keep staring at us. duhz, I'm not an unwed mum okay.

finally reached the lactation room. BUT both rooms were occupied!! no choice, gotta wait. luckily we don't have to wait long. she finally got her dose of milk and she was happy again. daddy came to look for us.

she was so happy looking at people when we push her pram.

had dinner at soup restaurant. she did not keep quiet for long. daddy gotta carry her when she started to cry. and she got the attention of the waitresses there. in the end we had to da bao the food back to eat. haiz...

Ariel really like attention.

a typical day of ariel's mum

little Ariel will wakes up at ard 5:30 am to 6am for her feed. she'll start by making some "aye aye" sound and drift back to sleep. then I will be thinking to myself should I just lift her up from her cot and feed her. most of the time (actually more likely ALL the time) I'll let her drift back to sleep, cuz I wanted to steal a few more minutes of sleeping time too. :P then she'll burst into a level 1 wail. I'll frantically grab my handphone, (the reason is becuz there is NO clock in my house, so I'll use the handphone as my clock. I need to note down the time I feed her), carry her to the living room. on the way to the sofa, I'll switch on the TV, air-con and then settle down to feed her. I'll will watch VV drama series while nursing her (that's the only channel with nice show to watch. occasionally I will watch channel 8 which will be repeating some old then TCS show). little Ariel will take her own sweet time to drink her milk, dozing off and I'll be waking her every now and then.

after that she'll either stay awake or drift back to sleep. if she's awake, I'll play with her. if not, I'll try to catch up with my SLEEP also. (actually SLEEP is already way ahead of me, don't think I'll ever catch up with it.) then she'll wake up for her feed and either drift back to sleep or stay awake. the whole episode repeats throughout the day. when she chose to sleeps, I'll take the opportunity to bathe or cook lunch or watch TV or surf net or continue catching up with SLEEP. of course I'll bathe her after the 2nd feed of the day. if not she'll be a smelly, stinky mermaid. (but I'll still LOVE her!!)

darling hubby comes back in the evening. he'll take over the playing job if he had finished his dinner.

in the middle of the night, I'll wake up to nurse her when I hear her level 1 wail.

when I was looking at myself in the mirror today (actually I look in the mirror everyday cuz I need to wash my face everyday. just that today I had a good look at myself), I realise my eye bags are damn HEAVY. MAC will be earning my money by selling me their concealer.
