Hair Cut

got my hair cut on tuesday!!! did not really cut until very short, but short enough to allow me to survive through my confinement. (I hope! keeping my fingers crossed) however, I look even more like a unwed mum. anyway, sooner or later, I'll be irritated by my fringe.

tomorrow's my LAST day at work for year!! Auntie Kris and Auntie Angie: remember to inform me if you are leaving ya. if not I'll really get a SHOCK when I come back next year realising that your're gone!! remember to update me on the gossips and latest news as well.

thought of knitting a little cap and do a cross stitch pillow case for little Ariel during my leave before I give birth, but did not have a chance to get the necessary tools. :-/ hopefully can get them over the weekends. if little Ariel can come out over the weekends, it'll be even better :P got an appointment with Dr See Tho. hopefully he'll tell me that I'm dilated and ready for labour. (fingers crossed again)

oh yes!! Auntie Ah Yen came back to office to meet us for lunch. she bought little Ariel a very sweet dress and some hankies for her saliva. "Ariel, say thank you to Auntie Ah Yen". "Yes Mummy, THANK YOU Auntie Ah Yen. Muack!"

no mood to work

I'm supposed to be working at this time, but I'm just surfing the net and waiting for time to past. well occasionally I'll switch to do a BIT of my work then back to the browser.

some of the people at work are starting to get onto my nerves, especially those asking for the sake of asking. they've been asking, 'hey, you're still here!!??' 'err... yah.. I decided to give birth right here, right now.' I've found myself repeating 'oh, her due date is 28 april', 'yes, i'm taking 2 weeks leave before that, so my last day at work is 13 april', 'I'll still be looking after her after my maternity leave cuz I took no-pay leave till end of the year after that'. sometimes I repeat these to the SAME person over and over again. (see what I mean by asking for the sake of asking?)

really hope that next friday come soon or better, Ariel come out soon. :D

anxiously waiting

we thought little Ariel will come out over the weekend. I've been having menses-like cramps (which I later realise they are braxton hicks) towards the end of last week. (I almost forgotten how the menses cramps felt like). I frantically looked up the book to learn how to differentiate a true labour and a false one. all evidents point to a false one :-/ Dr See Tho also said that there are still a few more weeks to go.

anyway, little Ariel only gained 200g since the last visit. her current weight of 2.4 kg only falls on the 28% range. I looked at Dr See Tho in a shock asking him why is that so??!! My appetite was quite good (though not in the previous previous week)!! he assured me that little Ariel will still grow and her weight is still acceptable. with my petite size, he said it is better that the baby is not too big. however, I could not accept that why with the food I eat, she still gain so LITTLE weight!!! and where did remaining 500g go (I've gained 700g)??!!

the first thing darling hubby said was, 'OK, I'm going to feed you more beef and perhaps durian.' I'm only interested in durian. :D

we finished doing up her cot, but yet to paste the glowing sheep on the wall. both darling and I find the cot so cosy that we almost jump into in. I've also shifted all her clothes from our wardrobe to her Toyogo drawers. hospital bag 90% packed and waiting for D-day only.

Tiredness

as the date is coming closer, I'm getting more and more excited as well as tired. everyday I just feel like jumping into the bed and sleep the moment I reach home. darling hubby definitely forbids me going without dinner. :P he's been asking why have I become so grouchy. (I have not had mood swings so far and hopefully can maintain. *yeah*) actually I'm not grouchy, just that my energy level will starts to depreciate from 2pm onwards; so by the time by see him in the evening, I'm already half-dead.

I have been dreaming a lot about little Ariel as well. can't wait to see how she'll look like. actually how she will looks like is not that important. most importantly is that she'll be healthy, born without complications. this is what I have been praying to God about everyday.

anyway, I'll be taking 2 weeks leave before my edd, which means 6 more weeks in office!!! I did not realise that until my supervisor warned me (jokingly) to clear my toys and junks at my cubicle before I go. (I won't be back till next year, will be taking no-pay leave after the maternity leave. :D) if not she's going to throw them away when they renovate my office. guess I have to start to clear them soon.

waiting... waiting... waiting...

Scare...

little Ariel gave us a little scare since last night. her movements were very little, unlike any other days. even this morning, I can't really feel her movements. I decided to give See Tho's clinic a call if I still don't feel any obvious movements from her by noon. luckily she started her kicking and rolling when I was bathing. after that, she was moving every now and then. *phew* she must have been very tired after being so active the whole of yesterday. (she was doing her stunts almost non-stop for the whole of yesterday.)

anyway, her check up on Saturday was fine. I thought I did not gain much weight since the last visit. (I weighed myself at my office's gym the day before and it showed that I have only gained 0.2 kg.) I was quite worried after that. eventually, it is proven that the weighing machine at the gym is NOT accurate!! (made me worry unduly!!) I have gained 1 kg and my total weight gain till now is 7.5 kg. (2.5 kg to 4.5 kg to go.) little Ariel's weight is 1.754 kg at week 31 and Dr See Tho said she is slightly heavier than average, but still a good weight. he also said that the amniotic fluid is not a lot, thus the scan will not be clear. however he assured us that though the amniotic fluid is not as much as last time, it is still enough for little Ariel. wonder if drinking lots of water help :-/
