恭喜发财！！

it's a bit late to wish everyone a Happy Lunar New Year, but actually it's not really late. still within the 15 days. :D

little Ariel is 31 weeks old this week!! went visiting on the first 3 days of CNY and amazingly Ariel got a few red packets even though she's not out yet!! not too bad for an unborn to get a few hundred bucks. many thanks to grand-uncles, grand-aunties and an uncle of hers! we decided to put those money in the piggy bank given by Auntie Wendy during Xmas.

went gambling at the Koh's family on Monday and the Loke's family on Tuesday. lost quite a substantial amount (at least to me) to Jeffery at the Loke's family. little Germaine really brought a lot of luck to his daddy. thus this evening we're going to his place to try to recoup what we lost. *grinz*

past few days were spent looking for a confinement nanny. it's a bit too last minute. my mum supposed to do the confinement. however, due to some reasons which I'm not convenient to mention over here, I've got to find someone else to do for me. was searching for recommendations in the forum (though I don't really trust those in the forum 100%) and asking friends and colleagues for help. I even called up TMC to ask about their confinement services, but all were fully booked. in the end, I still decided to engage one recommended in the forum. it's a last minute thing, I cannot ask too much. at least her requirement satisfied ours needs. we wanted one who can speak English, a Singaporean and not stay-in kind. i'll pray to God that she'll really turn out good as mentioned in the forum. many thanks to Auntie Angie and your mummy, Auntie Joyce (Peter's wife), Auntie Joyce (from my workplace), Auntie Edwina and Auntie Angeline for your help!! :D

going for the routine check-up tomorrow morning and the last antenatal class in the afternoon. Dr See Tho is going away for a while, thus the check-up has to be brought forward (supposed to be on next Monday). looking forward to it!!

Shopping Spree

before my tummy gets any bigger, we decided to finish off all the shopping for Ariel's stuff as much as possible (also to beat the GST hike). met up with the Koh's family at 10.30 am. had breakfast at coffeebean, suntec. we waited for a long time before our orders came. even the orders for the Koh's family came first when they came later than us. when the orders came, i found this plastic thing on my waffle!!! we told the waiter and got it change, but i was hoping that my new waffles will not have some other ingredients. :P

walked around in suntec a bit. i saw some nice dresses for Ariel, but they were all too expensive and will be out-grown by her very fast. anyway, we went to Carrefour for Ariel's necessities. bought 4 packets of Pampers and 1 packet of Mamy Poko to stock up, plus a bath tub, towels, cotton balls, cotton swaps and a lot others. we spent a total of almost $300 there! i think we have already spent over a grand (excluding my hospital and check-up fees) on Ariel even before she steps into this world. having a kid is really expensive.

3rd Trimester

Ariel is 28 weeks old in my tummy!! that means I'm moving into my 3rd trimester. finally... less than 3 more months, Ariel will be out to see the world. I'm having mixed feelings. I can't wait to see, hug and cuddle Ariel, on the other hand I can't bear to be "separated" from her. I think I'll miss her in my tummy. her movements, her kicks. aww... I'll miss carrying her around everywhere (even to the toilet).

anyway, went to Dr See Tho's clinic yesterday. she was kicking non-stop when we're on the way there. however, the silly gal quietened down when Dr See Tho was scanning for her (dunno what is she thinking :-/). she was weighing 1.2kg at 28 weeks. doc says she's having a good weight and her size is slightly bigger than average, more than 70 percentile (whatever that means). glad to hear that she's growing well and her Daddy will goes on saying, "Thanks to my strict diet for Mummy". :D for me, I've only gained around 600 grams from the last visit. *phew* previously I gained 1.7 kg. guess it is now balanced, cuz I'm supposed to gain around 1 kg every visit. at least my weight gain went to Ariel and not anywhere else, which is healthy!! oh... Ariel has a longish head, the length of front to back is longer than the length of left to right.

before that, we went to Robinsons to shop for Ariel's toys. bought her a mobile, some toys to train her motor skills and vision skills (photos will be up soon). all expenses paid by her Daddy (Mummy is poor...). : P
